  1. that cage is not sutable for rats, it is a rabbit and ferrit cage and the bar spacing is one inch!!! thats far too big for a rat unless its fat or a grown up male

  2. I use zip ties from home depot to connect my 2 cages.  they aren't exactly the same as yours but similar.  My rats rarely chew through the ties and if they do I just add a new one.  Also it gives me the option to quickly separate them if I want.  Good luck!

  3. Well, what kind of cages are they?

If wire, you can get some chicken mesh from a hardware store, form it into a tunnel, cut the same width holes in both cages, and attatch them all together.

    Here's an example: http://www.ratsauce.com/ourcages/

Edit: Yup, that would work for those cages. By the way, if you aren't the craftiest of persons, you can go into hardware places, like Home Depot, and ask them for advice on how to do it.

  4. a drain pipe tube and some wire cutters!!!!
