  1. Firstly different headaches have differing pathology. there are three main primary headaches namely tension type headaches, migraine headaches ad cluster headaches. secondary causes of headache are usually due to a serious underlying pathology and medical attention should be quickly sought.

if a patient presents with a tension type headache, the etiology is due to a increase in musce tension of the neck muscles. this can be easily treated b use of a NSAID (diclofenac) or a mucsle relaxant (orphenadrine)

if the headache is due to a migraine attack, NSAIDS have limited use in aborting this type of headache. vasoconstrictors such as ergotamine or sumitriptan can be used which offer quick and sustained relief from the headache.

cluster headaches are more difficult to treat as they are sometimes due to hypothalmic abnormalities. for this type of headache, it is best to consult with a pyhsician

    hope this helped:)

  2. An excellent way to get rid of a headache is to pinch the muscle that is in between your thumb and pointer finger.  You will know when you are putting pressure on the right place because it will hurt quite a bit.  Don't worry, within a few seconds the pain in you hand will die down and your headache should get better too.

This is a great "cure" if you are in a situation where you can't or don't want to take medicine.

  3. ibuprofen.

see a doctor if they are too often or persistant.

  4. you can cure anything once you know the cause, so first you should know what causes you headache, for example your eyesight may be week which can cause headache or if you are older you should monitor your blood pressure , similarly there are quite a many reasons for headache. So first determine your reason, than think for cure.
