  1. Portaband saw and a chain-tripod (to hold the angle)  Draw your lines and keep them straight.


  2. You can probably get a carborundum blade for a Skill saw or grinder, if you don''t want to rent a chop saw.

  3.    Using  just  whats  in  my  garage  I would  be  doing  it  with an  Angle- Grinder  , also called  a  cut-off  wheel.  I  am  a  maniac  tho'.

    For  safety  and precision  you  would  get  good  results  from  a metal  cutting   Chop-saw.

  4. There are metal chop saws you can rent. This will give you the fastest and most accurate cut. This may be obvious but be careful handling a freshly cut piece of steel as it will be VERY hot!

  5. use a port-ban, its a hand held bandsaw. great for presision cuts.
