  1. A lot of auto parts stores take oil. Almost any dealership or auto repair store will take it. I hear waste oil companies pay for used oil so I'm sure they would be glad to take it.

  2. auto zone or advance will take it off your hands free of charge.

  3. Most Quik-Change oil shops take it...up to 5 gallons. Also spme auto parts stores will accept it.

  4. you can look up in the phone book under oil recycylers. Also check online for oil disposal or recyclers. Some autozone and kragen also take use motor oil but you must check with each location as only some will take it an not all.

  5. Most rubbish tips have a container for you topour it into, they then take away for recycling into oil for people with oil burning boilers forthier heating and hot water.

So pour it back into the old container ( if empty) and take it to the local rubbish dump.

  6. I take my oil to Auto Zone. Many oil changing places like Jiffy can do it if they allow it. Call around. That's much cheaper than driving around asking them directly.

  7. council household waste areas have provision for disposing of it, why not use it as creosote.spray the bottom of your car ( underneath ) with it, its a great  prevention against rust

  8. That depends on where you live, as in what country, state, etc.

You think everyone that uses yahoo answers lives in your neighborhood?

As mentioned above, parts stores, recycle centers, whatever you have available.

  9. you can bring it to a dealer or any place that does vehicle service, they will dispose of it in a safe manor. Dont bury it!

  10. There are many auto stores that take it. One of those is autozone.

Besides every liter that you recycle helps the Earth and can lower the price of motor oil.

  11. Parts stores, auto care centers garages most all of them have

containers for used oil for the most part there is little or no charge to

drop off your used oil.  There are companies which collect this oil

and re-refine it.  It would make the EPA unhappy if they find out you

don't get rid of the oil properly.

  12. Your local recycle centre have the facilities .For you to do this properly.

  13. You appear to have been given the answer but have you thought about recycling it?

I mix mine with creosote substitute (eco friendly ) and use it to "paint" my wooden garage, fencing and garden shed.

  14. your local recycle tip will normally have facilities for disposal or you could do what people did years ago and paint it onto garden fencing for protection against rot

  15. The local council waste dump has facilities to dispose of oil
