  1. When you expect your vegetables will mature in winter, there is nothing but to plant root plants. Potatoes, yams, beets, carrots, etc. Even cabbage and certain varieties of pumpkins. At the first sign of frost cover them with hay. You'll be able to harvest these for Christmas.

  2. ASK SOME ONE IN WAL MART OR LOWES IN THE GARDEN SECTION

  3. Since I don't know where you live this will be tricky.  I am in the Chicago area.  My schedule is to plant hearty plants around April 15th. The more delicate plants go in on May 15th.  You really have to match what you plant to the time of the last frost in the area.

  4. It depends on where you live..I grow veggies 12 months out of the year..I am in northwest Florida and right now all my summer plants are still flourishing and putting out heavy..but I have just started planting my winter veggies which will grow all winter and through the spring..then i plant summer plants again..i have juat started cauliflower, cabbage, broccolli, turnip greens, collard greens, mustard greens, swiss chard, radishes, carrots, brussel sprouts, and much more...They will grow all through the winter here...

  5. You need a farmer's almanac. They come out each year in September/October and will have answers to all of your questions. Until next month try - www.almanac.com
