  1. Serve kimchi (any kind) with steamed rice, is a typical way and the most yummy way, my opinion and experience. I love cucumber kimchi!

Other than that, stir fry kimchi (cabbage) with thinly sliced pork and leek, garlic, ginger, onions (with a little bit of rice wine, soy sauce and sugar to taste) is my next option.

  2. Koreans consume it just as we would eat a pickle. As a side dish.

  3. I eat it as a side dish (sort of like pickles) to rice and meat and veggies.  You kind of eat some meat, eat some rice, eat some kimchi, eat some rice, eat some veggies, eat some kimchi, etc.  I have a low tolerance for a lot of garlic so I have to limit my intake but other folks chow it down.

  4. with some plain rice or anything really its a side dish so it goes with everything

  5. ooooh yummy!  i love kimchi!!  i eat it 4 different ways.  1) in a sardine or tuna sandwich...instead of lettuce it's kimchi.  2) with maui/redondo hot dog (it's a red hot dog...it tastes different from the brown ones you probably eat.) and poi (the hawaiian starch.).  3) with a tuna and egg omelet and hot sticky rice.  4) straight out of the jar.  in 2 and 3 it would be a side like the person above said.  these are just the ways i eat it.  you can eat kimchi with practically anything!

    take care and aloha!

edit...oh yah, i forgot about RAMEN.  i guess i eat it 5 ways...lol.  i actually use cup or noodles...the shrimp one.  and i put the kimchi inside along with a can of vienna sausage.  yummy!

  6. its great with some plain rice, RAMEN!! haha, any noodles really or even by itself if you can handle the heat.
