Russia has invaded Georgia. We're in Iraq and Afghanistan. Citing Wikipedia, I am advised of something like thirty ongoing conflicts. How can we stop this most effectively?

lets just say, in no time in history did military every do anything but cause one nation to be more pissed at others. Military can fix things like trying to use TNT as a one solution fixes all.
