What is the best way to encourage people to donate for a fundraiser for local humane society?

I would really appreciate some suggestions to motivate people to help support this great cause! Here’s what I’ve done so far:

- Sent emails to everyone I know asking for a donation.

- I have asked for items to put on a garage sale in lieu of a monetary donation (I know these are togh times)

- I’ve participated in a bake sale

I’ve had very little response and would love to raise the most I can. I welcome any new ideas.

aww that is real sweet of you. Maybe you should create a myspace page for it(your organization) and add everyone..create a paypal account so they can donate to you..it'll get you noticed all over teh world.

btw, ill send you a lil donation.

Try ecellrecycling.com They are a recycling company that will pay you for unused cell phones and other electronics. All you do is get a collection drive going and when you collect enough  you ship it to them(they pay for the shipping). It's great i know a few organizations that have tried it and they said it was great.   I  hope this helps
