I only know first and last name (and they are fairly common) and have already searched the school website, and he no longer teaches there. I have tried people searching, but I can only guess at his age, since I was in middle school at the time. He was an amazing teacher and he made a personal impact on my life. I really wish that I could tell him how much of a difference he made in my life!

Any suggestions? I know that he graduated from the University of Michigan, then moved to California, and used to teach at Washington Middle school in Vista, CA.

Any great ideas?

  1. Ask someone that works at the school you went to now, preferably someone that worked there before too. Otherwise they probably have records?

  2. get a detective.  Or do your own online, it will cost you.

  3. I found a favorite teacher and although it wasn't easy my persistence paid off.  I got in contact with his colleagues, other teachers who taught at my high school at the same time.  I then contacted a relative and a former classmate.  I was finally able to obtain an email address and presto....I was able to tell him how he'd made a difference in my life!  I hated high school and graduated in 1971....my grades were horrible and the only high point in my school years was the care and guidance of this one drama/speech teacher.  He was my inspiration.  I went on to earn a BA in elementary education, an MA in education and I am currently an adjunct professor!  Good luck!  Good teachers need to be told just what they did to encourage and inspire us!

  4. call maury, oprah, ellen or tyra.

    best of luck
