Go to a site vrbo.com they advertise houses/apartments  by the owner so you do not pay management charges - they have places all over the world, I have used there site 5 times now and every home has been wonderful and exactly as described.  Just click on Australia on the map and then sydney and all the homes in various areas will show then scroll through and look, good luck
