Please- no antivirus advertisements. I simply want to know the origination of this particular virus, so I'll know not to go to whatever site gave it to me.

  1. Check your computers logs, or the log in your own brain to when you downloaded the buggy program.

  2. You won't be able to find that type of thing out, once it has got on your PC thats already too late.

You should get an active scanning virus scanner like AVG's free one, that would alert you WHILE you were on a bad site and block it from infecting you, your trying to find a shooter after the crime and you have no bullet, gun or witnesses.

  3. You can't do that but just be aware that gaming sites, p**n sites,  some exe files from limewire are all dangerous. Never open emails that you don't recognise, delete them immediately

  4. Download an Virus Protection and scan. it will show you where it came from. From then you can see how it got on your pc

  5. Logs probably will be empty, task manager might not find it and searching connections for unknowns will not show. With the invention of hiding tools, botnets, spyware ,computers, hacking tools and legal hacking education make thing nearly impossible to find out the people who actually did them.

There's one out of ten chances of finding out a phishing scam artist from evidence from one a simple email and finding out who sent you the virus via internet will be impossible because hackers usually have a botnet and use them to send it.Unless you were the hacker's first victim that was successful, its not possible. Just remove it and leave the authorities to arrest them later in life.Nobody ever got away with crime.

  6. Why,you are going to call the police on them? Clean your computer and move on.
