  1. There is a cleaner called Awesome that will remove it.  It says to dilute it but if you use it full strength, you can get it out.

My neice spilled hot pink nail polish on carpet and hid it with a rug.  Her mom didn't find it for days.

    She got out every drop.

  2. should have let it dry sitting on top of the carpet fuzz then clip it out with some scissors.  now that you've dissolved it into the fibers, I have no idea.  Sorry

  3. cut it out. its the only way.

source - first hand experience.. many spills. :)

  4. use the nail polish remover that has the sponge that u dip ur fingers into.  partially wring out the sponge and then scrub.  then clean the entire area w/ liquid laundry detergent or dish soap

  5. 100% pure acetone. It is in most nail polish removers, and is used as an artificial nail remover. First try using in on a small piece of the carpet where it wont be seen. Make sure it wont hurt the carpet. Then if your carpet will uphold to it get a bunch of old rags and start dabbing it out from the outside of the stain, in. Doing that will keep the stain under control and from bleeding out. This is take awhile, but if you do it as you have time and keep the dabs small, you can always come back to it later. Just keep at it till its done!

If this happens again, try to get it up as soon as possible! That will make it a lot easier! Even with nail polish remover, just remember to dab at it, dont pour it on the stain, it will just make it bleed out!

You can buy the acetone at most drug stores or Sally's Beauty Supply
