Give a club and a ball and turn him loose.  Do not worry about fundamentals at all.  Let him see the game is fun rather than stressful.

Take him to the driving range with you, buy him a soda, give him a junior club and a bucket of balls, and let him/her have some fun!  Don't try to teach anything except how to act on the course.  Kids are pretty athletic usually, and with practice, his/her golf swing will probably start to take shape without instruction.  When he/her starts getting excited about the sport, then you can start to teach.

First you must buy them junior clubs, lighter are better for them.... My son, started with plastics clubs.  Dont teach them too much theory... just teach 1 thing in a time... dont teach them new things before they get used to it.

Bring your son to the course as soon as posible... here we have ere course with all par 3... this kind of course will be good for them because when they play here, they not too tired, so they will have fun.

Kids love play with their friends... so try to find golf friends for them.  Same like us, play golf without friend are not fun.

If you son already can play, find the local junior tournament in your area... they will have more fun overthere...

Both of my boys started at age six. We began at a local par-3 course. They could walk it with me, and hit balls as they felt the desire. They each had a US Kids Wood, Iron and Putter. It was all about making it fun, while still paying respects to the rules and etiquette of golf.

Once they began to think it was fun, I started with more formal instruction, beginning with putting, then chipping and pitching.
