What is the best way to get an ash stain out of a fabric couch? ?

An ash tray was accidentally dumped on my tan couch. It's a fabric couch--any ideas?

also try sprinkling dry baking soda on the stain, and then gently rub with a clean white cloth.  after that, vacuum and see if any of the ash is removed.  if so, repeat this process.

mix borax and hot water and take a rag and washed and splot for alittle bit it got blood out of my stuff so it should that then take another rag and clean water to get that up some and take a dry towel to get some water up for qiucker drying just dont put to much water there in first place u have to ring ur rag every time
