I agree with the majority here, defininitely train, because of the pricing and the mostly hassle free travel, no traffic jams and you see a lot of scenery and have a traveling restaurant with you and restrooms, etc. all that while traveling towards your destination!

By train without a doubt.  Buy a eurorail pass, they have many options depending on how long you'll be there and how much traveling you want to do.  Simple and stress free way to get around, you can also sleep on the trains this may help save some loot on hotels and whatnot.

Definately by car.  You can go wherever you want whenever you want.  You can throw your luggage in the trunk and go.  No heavy bags to carry around.

The bus is a pretty good way I had no problems, You will find that the train is great too. Travel in europe is extremly easy you will see.

I'd say train. It's cheap, relatively reliable, and fast. The ICE through Germany is amazing. Another good tip is watching out for cheap inter-European flights through companies like germanwings. Good luck!

By train with a Eurrail pass, you have to buy this before you go. You can get just about everywhere because most small towns have train stations.
