What is the best way to get from Gare du Montparnasse to the Paris Beauvais Airport?

I am a studying in Europe right now, and many of my travels are through Ryan Air. I am taking the train into the Gare du Montparnasse train station, and from there I need to get to the Paris Beauvais airport. How do I do that? I live in Nantes, is there a better way to get there altogether?

From the Gare Montparnasse take Metro line 13 marked "Direction : Saint-Denis-Universite" to the Champs-Elysees-Clemenceau station and transfer to Metro line 1 marked "Direction : La Defense (Grande Arche)" and get off at the Porte Maillot stop.
