Question:

What is the best way to get from Malpensa Airport to Milan?

I arrive by an international flight at Malpensa and I will have my baggage with me. Can I still take the bus or train or should I have to take a taxi? And I also arrive on May 1, which I believe is a state holiday (just my luck!). Would this affect any of my options?

  1. take a look at this web page

  2. Do not worry at all, the holiday will not interfere with public transport (the worst that can happen is that you'll have to wait  a bit longer maybe, but that's about it...).

This said, don't even think about getting a cab to the city for it will be ridiculously expensive as well as taking forever.

Take the "Malpensa Express" train instead (11 euros and you'll get in the city centre, in Cadorna metro station), or a bus (around 6 euros that will take you to stazione Centrale, which is the main station in Milan).

Of course in both cases you can have even 2 suitcases with you: if it's not a problem for you to carry them around, no one will mind whatsoever (actually it's more likely that everyone will carry some luggage since you're all arriving from the airport)!

    Have fun in Italy!
