  1. well it's just over 20 kilometres so you could walk it if you had to, but there are trains as well if you don't have a car.

If you're going to be traveling on from nice after returning from monaco I recomend buying a country rail pass, it allows you up to three full days of travel in a month long period.

  2. It's very near really. The best way is by car, there is a border sea route with magnific views.

    Enjoy it!

  3. Underrstand that we're talking about a 20 minute ride on a commuter train that costs about 3 euros one way. No big planning is required. Just go to the station and buy a ticket. Trains leave frequently in each direction all day long.

Bus line 110 of the Rapides Cote d'Azur Bus company also goes from Nice to Monaco. I believe the fare is 1.30 euros one way.

  4. Last time I went, I took the train, from Nice central station to Monaco. It roughly took about 40 minutes (it's the train that goes to Vintimiglia Italy). You can just buy a return ticket from the machine, don't forget to take your camera because the scenery on the way is beautiful on a sunny day :)
