  1. Shuttle, Taxi, or Bus!

  2. A taxi will be about $30.  See if you can get a "van" taxi or two.

Also check out Gray Line Express...they run to most of the major hotels downtown.

Shuttle Express is a complete rip-off and more expensive / less convenient than a simple taxi.

For the absolute budget consideration, catch the #194 Metro bus outside on the south end of baggage claim.  It costs $1.50 and is an express right into downtown.  I think it runs every 20 minutes or so.  Everyone on it will have suitcases...you won't be alone.

Next year there will be light rail but I guess you're a little early for that!

  3. Your hotel may provide a shuttle. Check with them.

Airport rate for a taxi DT is $28.00. plus fuel surcharge & Tip, title, license and dealer prep! LOL

If you are going to the cruise ship terminal, depends on who you are using.  If you are on Holland America or Princess (same owners)

their terminal is not DT.  You will need a taxi.

    The other ships are DT.

Metro Bus  #194 Express $1.75 at peak hour will have you DT in 25 minutes.  Best deal going!!

  4. You can take Shuttle Express and it would be less than $20/person, but I don't know what sort of price you are looking for that you'd consider "good".  You could even pile onto the public transit.  Metro routes 194 and 174 both go north to downtown Seattle and would cost between $1.50 and $2.25, depending on when you are traveling.  That would def be your most cost-effective way and it's pretty easy as you won't need to change buses to get downtown!

  5. With 7 of you, 2 van cabs would be best.  Fare to the city is about $30.  Far better than Shuttle Express where you'll probably wait.  You can also take an Airporter shuttle bus, but again, you'll wait as it drops off from hotel to hotel.  I'd rather split $70 7 ways if it were me.  Probably same price and much quicker.

  6. Some of the downtown hotels offer airport transportation - you should check with yours.

Taking 3 cabs will probably cost you close to $300. If you can fit 4 in one cab that may be a consideration.

Shuttle express is the largest and most advertised airport transportation, I'm guessing using their regular service it will be about $30 each.

I'm assuming you don't want to schlep your bags onto a public bus, but that is an option.
