What is the best way to get in shape for a federal job?

I am getting ready to leave either for Customs Border Protection or for Border Patrol in about 3 months. What is the best way to get in shape and prepared for the training academy? anyone who has been there before have any tips? i have been running lately, but i threw up the other day after running up a hill...pretty bad out of shape....

  2. Take it in smaller steps then. Go jogging every day as much as you can without throwing up, avoid hills. But definitely keep running and you'll get better overtime. 3 months is plenty to get in decent shape if you do it very regularly. Daily would be great.

    I haven't worked with the CBP but I know it's not the Navy SEALs, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
