What is the best way to get my pilots certificate for hot air balloon I've crewed many times?

IS LIBERTY BALLOON SCHOOL A GOOD WAY? I'VE ASKED A FEW PILOTS AND AM PERPLEXED, I'M GETTING MIXED SIGNALS, THEY SEEM TO BE VERY VAGUE, AND I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY, DO THEY JUST NOT KNOW, OR DO THEY SEE ME AS A THREAT TO THEIR RIDE BUSINESS, I JUST DON'T GET IT, d**n GUYS DON'T EAT YOUR YOUNG!

im sorry i cant help, but i have absolutely no clue about that! It's a pretty interresting question cause I cant figure out why they dont tell you more....maybe they were sworn to secrecy? j/k but good luck on finding someone that knows

There are two part to becoming a certified pilot.  The first is the FAA ground school.  This is the same testing that is available for airplane pilots so is available at many locations.  The second part is the actual flying.  This is the more difficult part.  You will need to find an instructor that is willing to teach you to fly.  This takes a big commitment from both the student and the pilot.  People don't usually understand that the best time to fly is at dawn which means a very early morning.  Often the student needs to provide their own balloon due to the limited number of flight hours balloons are used and their own chase crew.  This may be why you have gotten a rather cold reception from some of the pilots.
