DO NOT buy a Japanese beetle trap. All they do is attract beetles into your yard from around the neighborhood.

The thing to do is get some Pyola spray (google it) and spray your plants. You can also spray it right on the beetles. It is natural so you can use it on your vegetable plants with no problems. It kills them quite efficiently. This works great for me every year.

Use a brush and a cup of oil. Brush the insects in the oil to drown them.

         If you use a trap do not put it in your garden. The Beatles will be attracted to the trap. Place the trap as far away from where you don't want the Beatles.

        Also you can apply an insecticide like seven, make sure you use gloves then throw them away.

You can also place buckets of water in the garden and some of them will drown during the day.
