  1. Use a mix of cinnamon and sugar. The ants will pick up the sugar, along with the cinnamon, and take it back to their queen. Ants can’t digest cinnamon and once the queen dies from not being able to digest the cinnamon the colony will die without her.

  2. just burn them....or find their queen underground and kill it....

  3. Force them out of their nest by shoving a stick down it or sumthin then blowtorch them all. Takes a while but works.

  4. You have a few options:

    Ant powder

    Exterminaters

or hot boiling water down the ants nest.

    Good luck!

  5. Oh so simple. I never have ants anymore since I have been using this. I used to get them every year inside the house. My little dogs dishes would be covered with them. I used to have to follow the trail to the nest, and pour boiling water over them, then spray poison. Until I started using this. My sister uses it now,and her ants are also gone. I use a little every day,and never have even seen one ant. I bet you want to know what it is huh? You might already have some. Used for furniture mainly. It is "Lemon Oil"! or orange oil. Either one works because ants hate it and won't tolerate any area with lemon oil on it. I wipe my counters with a small amount after washing them off. No ants, and looks beautiful also. Spray a little where they are coming into your house and they will turn and run away. Byee

  6. Contact your Cooperative Extension (link below).  They will probably ask you to catch a few ants, put them in a zip lock bag & send them in for identification.

I know you probably want a faster solution, but the Coop Ext can help you really get rid of the critters for good.  There are all sorts of ants - and they can tell you the best type of treatment to kill them and also possible causes so that you can address the underlying attraction (important as ants damage unseen parts of your house).

I lived in a condo & we got a strange little "pharoah" ant -- the only solution was professional extermination, and the cooperative extension folks helped advise the best method.  Baits only attracted them & didn't kill them (making the problem worse) and the do-it-yourself sprays just wouldn't touch the problem.

In the meantime, you can create a perimeter using talcum powder.  The powder actually has sharp edges - when the ants walk through it, it cuts them.  Kind of like that razor wire, just on a microscopic level.  It's a just short-term, non-toxic solution.

Be sure to store all food stuff in air-tight containers and keep the kitchen super clean just in case the food is luring them in.

    Good luck.
