Pesticides and sprays do not work for Brown Recluses, they like the pesticide because it kills spiders and other bugs and that's what they eat.  The BEST way to minimize the Brown Recluse Population is sticky traps that are specific for Brown Recluses.  You can get them cheap at:

I got some good bug & spider spray at the dollar general store that worked pretty good it is a pump type spray bottle like Windex and it wasn't very expensive. Just spray in all the corners. Other then that you would have to use a bug bomb and stay gone over night.
