  1. use RID... you can get it at walmart... they also have the equate brand that works just as well and is cheaper.... the thing that i was told would be able to prevent getting lice again or in the future (which is not 100% guarantee but can help) is to use shampoo and conditioner that contains coconut oil.... also using hair gel and keeping hair up (if a girl) can also help.

  2. Cheap-Dog Shampoo it has the ingredent that kills lice and if you use it every other day you will never see them again

Each bottle lasts about 3 weeks and it makes hair shiney too for 10 bucks for 2 months

Expensive-Go to the Doctor and ask for 5 bottles of lice shampoo and that stuff will

last you about 2 months for 50 bucks

After that you kill the big ones use a comb or your hand and pick or comb the eggs out.Tell her not to share anything and vaccum everything.

The shampoos will keep them out as well as kill em now

  3. As others have said, use a special shampoo. Then comb the hair throrougly and search for nits--check the rest of the family as well.

The next step is to wash everything that has come in contact with the child's head--blankets, pillowcases, hairbrushes, headbands, hair clips, headphones, hats. If you want to be extra cautious, have the carpets washed as well.

  4. You need to treat her head and the rest of the house as well.  Google 'treating head lice".

To prevent them...avoid washing the hair every day.  Lice love clean hair.  The days it is washed...put some mousse in the hair to coat the strands..that will keep them away

  5. I have dealt with this so many times!! Get RID, work it like the instructions say. Make sure that you vacuum every day and that you wash everything in HOT water and dry in HIGH heat everyday. Boil after you use the comb. Make sure your child has his/her own comb do not share or you can get it. In order for it to be gone. Go through her hair every day. One egg can lead to a head full of lice. Start at the bottom of her neck and work through. It might take forever, but if you want the lice to truly be gone. This is the only way. Also don't forget to spray your car and furniture, very important. Don't quit either, keep going till you are 100% sure that every single egg has gone. I would say to go through it for a week or 2 to double check. Remember 1 EGG LEFT BEHIND will make another HEAD FULL OF LICE!! Hoped I helped Good Luck!

  6. If it is a female, the best way is to cut hair shorter and buy the medicine in the pharmacy, they sell them over the counter.  This is the same thing my parents did for me and it worked.  Remember, the longer the hair is, the best way for them to hide in it.  If it's a boy, just place the medicine and possibly cut hair shorter as well.  Good luck...

  7. use ''rid'' thats what i used when igot it at school. buy a special comb, special shampoo, and olive oil.

  8. Pick up some RID and shampoo their hair with it. It might also be a good idea to use it on everyone elses hair that lives in your house just in case. Check everyones hair for nits. Make sure all bedding is washed also.

  9. You can buy a special shampoo.  Your medical practitioner or nurse will advise.  Unfortunately you can't stop it happening.  The lice may have come from the head of another child and you can't stop children being close to each other.

  10. I used the regular lice shampoo.  Follow the directions to the T.  That means treating again in 10 days.  I also bought tea tree oil from the grocery store.  I put a couple drops in our shampoo.  I use this shampoo once a week to prevent another lice attack.  I also put a couple drops in my daughters spray leave in conditioner.  Also use the hair dryer whenever possable.

  11. The time my boys had lice I put olive oil on their heads for an hour (cover the head) and put on a shower cap (to keep it from going every where). Let it sit on their head for an hour and after an hour wash their hair. Then comb through their hair. I only had to do that 2 times and they were lice free.

To keep them lice free you need to talk to them about not sharing hats, combs.
