My back garden is infested with them!

You need to know what kind they are. What type of nest do they make? If they are paper wasps and build those hanging type nests, its easy. Waite until night when they are dormant. Then hold a paper bag under the nest and using a scraper, dislodge the nest into the bag. Close the bag tightly and either burn it or seal it in plastic and toss it into the trash. If they nest in a building wall or in the ground, you will either need chemicals or a contractor who handles those things.
