  1. Alright, so you are interested in golf are you? Well, let me know tell you, you are either on a life long journey or a short trip to nowhere. Golf is the type of sport that many fall madly in love with and some hate. I would recommend that you first go to the range and hit golf balls for a few weeks or summer. Then take some lessons, then start playing. You will find that if you like it- you will follow the tour as well as play often. I wish you luck as I am an avid player and think about the game regulaliry.

    Good luck

  2. Apply at a course to be a caddy.

  3. Tee off ! hahaha

  4. Go wack some balls at the driving range with some of those loaners they have in a barrell.  Try and imitate some of the others you see there at the range.  After that experience, if you're still motivated, do some analysis and seek the fundamentals on the web.  Then back to the range again for some more trial and error.  Stay motivated.  It can be frustrating but you'll be hooked for life.

  5. Take some lessons and practice at the driving range and practice putting greens. Stay on the par 3 courses until you can at least move the ball along.

  6. If your serious about playing buy a set of golf clubs (which would be expensive) or another option is to buy a starter golf at a retail store and build from there. After you buy the clubs, you should go to a driving range and get familiar with the clubs. If you ca'nt afford lessons right away get a book on how to play golf (That's what i did). Once you can hit the ball decently go out for a round of golf. From there everything will fall in place, and it takes alot of practice.

    Good Luck!

  7. You can't just start playing golf like basketball or football.  You have to buy clubs, pay for lessons, pay for use of the driving range, and once your good... You have to pay to play on the course.

    It's a very expensive sport.

    Try putt-putt first. :)

Try to get involved with your middle school golf team.  If your in HS then it might be too late, because you have to be pretty good at golf to make your HS golf team.

  8. You’re on the right track.

Watching golf on TV is not the most exciting thing ever, but it will help you learn the game. Get a subscription to Golf and Golf Digest. Read books on golf from the library.

I would hit a local golf retail store like Golf Smith, Golf Galaxy, swing some of their clubs, and maybe pick up a tip or two.

You need to be aware Golf is not cheep. Try e-bay for equipment. Get lessons. Hit lots of range balls before you play.

    Good luck!

    Very good link for lessons:
