  1. .

You ain’t Got A Thing if You Ain’t Got that Swing.

    .

  2. First piece of advice... Don't quit your day job, just because people tell you that you are "preety" good, doesn't mean you should turn pro.  This question reminds me of the new Ping I10 commercials where the guys hit a couple of good shots and announce that they are "goin' pro"

The best way (IMO) to test your mettle and see if you've got what it takes is to compete in amateur tournaments, especially the ones hosted by the USGA.  You can find a list of them on the USGA's website, they have local qualifiers for every tournament that they host.  Beware, you should realistically have a 0-3 hdcp to realistically compete in any of these events... essentially you should be in the top 2% of golfers in the U.S.

The other way you can get your career started is by going to college and completing a PGA program.  In most cases, students are working to become a PGA pro at a local course or club and make their living running the pro shop and teaching lessons.  However, this program requires academic learning as well as physical skill, there is a physical competency requirement that needs to be fulfilled prior to completion.  (I don't know what the exact number is, but it is related to establishing your handicap very low)

Hope this helps... btw... what is your average score?

  3. Enter some tournaments and learn how to win them.  You must learn to perform under pressure before you can think about turning professional.  Get on your high school team, enter junior events during summer, get a scholarship to play college golf, and if you become an All American then you might try to turn pro.

  4. As  an amateur, be the best amateur in your age class. Win or finish in the top 3 in every junior tournament, graduate to the women's division and win the State open 5 years in a row, go to college and be #1 on the #! ladies team in the country. Graduate , try to qualify for the LPGA and fail by a stroke, Play on the futures tour and others for experience and to compare skills with other wannabees . Then go to "Q" school again and this time get the LPGA card by 1 stroke. So now, not only are you competing against the LPGA members but all the South Koreans who are also members who have more contestants than any other country. The TIP ??? You must be very, very, very good, talented and level headed. Can you do that ? Good Luck!!

  5. well it matters how old you are, i would go try out for college if your young enough and if not then you have to try to get your tour car
