Arriving at the Santiago airport at 3 am?

First there is no transportation (bus) at that time at night.

Second, to travel to Punta Cana you must :

1.Take a cab from airport to bus station (Caribe tours) in Santiago.(first bus at 6am)

2. Take the bus to Santo Domingo, there take other bus to

     Higuey

3. Take a local bus from higuey to Punta Cana and ther take    

    again a taxi to your hotel

Estimate time of traveling:between 8 to 10 hours (without waiting for the bus at Santiago at 6am).

Second option : Wait until morning (anyway) and take a flight

to Punta Cana and from there take a cab to your hotel.

Estimate price per person (flight) 200 us

Anyway it is a ride of 6 hours (minimum)

Santiago - Santo Domingo :155 km

Santo Domingo - Higuey : 155 km

Higuey - Punta Cana : 60 km

Total : 370 km + crossing Santo Domingo 27km =397 km.
