Question:

What is the best way to get to sleep?

I haven't been sleeping much recently.

I don't know why, I just keep tossing and turning.

I think I manage to get about 4 hours every night.

I'm OK with sleeping pills, but my mother isn't, so what is the best way to get to sleep without those delicious pills?

  1. Have something warm before you go to bed and have hot chocolate

    yummm!!

reading is also a great idea before bed, because it relaxs you and make your brain tired

go to bed having something good on your mind

and if all that doesn't work then count to 1000

    good luck xx.

  2. Have you tried reading right before bed? If I can't get to sleep right away, I read as long as I can possibly keep my eyes open. Have you tried listening to relaxing or soothing music? Most stores that have CD's will have a section with this type of music.

Or, maybe the temperature in your room is too hot or cold. Maybe you have too many blankets, or not enough. Or, it's possible you need a new mattress. Ask your mom how old your bed is.

    Sweet Dreams!

  3. Its always relaxing to me when i turn the TV on to a quiet volume (you can barely make out what the people are saying) and just lay there and watch it until you drift off

  4. just u go on to count something which is not gonna excite u in any way do not have a nap in d afternoon, u can get a good sleep at 9t if u work a harder in day time...

  5. What I do is "daydream"--imagining a certain scenario from one of my stories or something that interests me and makes me feel good.  I visualize the setting, the characters, the actions, and the motives.  And of course, I do this every night until each one is perfect in my mind.  Then I write what I "saw" down on paper (well, the computer).  That's how I come up with my stories.  But anyone can do that.  I have always used this "imagery" routine before falling asleep, even when I was a kid, and it works 98% of the time for me.  The funny thing is, I saw some fancy sleep doctor on the news advising people to do this in order to get to sleep.  I laughed, of course!
