  1. To be honest, being a stand up comedian should come natural so maybe that's not your genre!!!

  2. Go to "open mike night" at your local comedy club.

  3. have good jokes XD open bar too, there are places where all they do is have comedians tell jokes and they get rated

  4. If this is Andrew, then you suck at comedy and you need to stick to being a police officer. I hated your comedy show. It was dumb as h**l.

    BUT!

If you are not Andrew then I suggest you look for you angle. what makes you set apart from all other comedians. Ask yourself what makes Larry the cable guy so like able or Louis black? They all have there own styles. You gotta find that little special something that makes you better than all the rest. After that record some stuff and put it on youtube. after a while you could get like 300,000 views and you will get noticed and be on your way.

  5. Stand up and make people laugh.  :o)

  6. Well if your funny go from there but you gotta be funny and have funny jokes.

  7. First find your style of comedy. Do the kind of jokes that make you comfortable. Then draw influences from your life that you could make into jokes. Then you have to practice, practice, practice. Try with different audiences and try to take constructive criticism from anyone you can.

  8. I'd suggest just look at life around you - make notes - and turn things upside down.   The more common the experience you are dealing with, the funnier people will find it.   Humor often depends on surprise but based on the familiar.  You have to work at it, to hone the story.   Then you need to develop a "persona", a character that's natural to you, to perform.    And then develop delivery - clear enunciation, in character, but apparently spontaneous as though you're thinking out loud.    Rhythm and timing is vitally important - think of it as music - the pauses and silences are as important as what you say.   You can wait for audience response, but not too obviously so you look like the cat waiting for the cream, or a kid waiting for applause.   Keep it offhand.    But you can laugh or chuckle at your own jokes - laughter, like smiling, is infectious.   Practice in front of a mirror and with friends.   Good luck.

  9. Well first of all you should probably take classes. Like acting classes but comedy and stand up performance classes. Find soomewhwrere to do that and then start auditioning for tv maybe if thats what you want. Just look up everything on google.

  10. You can start by going over your routine in front of your family and your closest friends because they will tell you truth and help you with any improvements. Remember if you can't make your family and friends laugh how can you go out into the public and make them find your humor.

Otherwise I think you will do just fine and then you're ready to try for any open mike or talent shows in your neighborhood.

Again, go knock um out!!! and have a good time.

  11. Enter talent shows in your area and become well known. =]

You could also join a comedy club and practice your skits and jokes.

Best of luck! I hope everything turns out great for you!
