I am starting my certificate program in accounting this fall at the university and I already have a BS degree in general business. Can you tell me what classes are best to take and what is the best way to go to start working for government as an entry level accountant? Is it a good choice to start in an intership program? Thank you ahead for your answers!

  1. When I worked for the State of Arkansas only employees children were granted internships so give that idea up.

You just need to apply, network, apply, network, stay in touch with HR, apply, network . .  . get it.  Most government workers are literally dying out of their jobs so good luck.
