  1. In general,

If you settle now - the insurance company can only consider

    medical bills to date.

If you wait until you have completed treatment - then the insurance company will consider all medical bills.

In short, you will probably get more money if you wait. But, if you are willing to take a lesser amount - collect your medical bills/records and send them into the adjuster and let the adjuster know that you'd like to settle.

  2. Discuss your  Drs  plan  and  why he  feels  it is  neccesary.  Once you sign off  you may not  have  any more  coverage  for  any thing  else needed. and  will have to pay  for it  yourself.   *mamatx

  3. Wait till you are complete back to your preloss condition.  I know that it is overwhelming, but once you settle the insurance company may be off the hook.  Make certain you are ready for that.  You know what you need to do and you will do it.  Good Luck
