Assuming you've not been living together so he doesn't know all your ways, make sure you start as you intend to go on for maybe the next 60 years!

Things can get to be "his job" or "her job" - understandable because we all have different skills, but it is not an unwritten law that because one does the washing up, ironing, emptying bins, etc., once, she is the one who does it forever and a day after.
