I’m buying a projector for home theater and computer uses, but I am having trouble understanding what kind of surround sound to hook up to a projector. I really want to go wireless if possible. I don't know if these projectors have an FM or bluetooth signal emitted for audio or if I need a wire. The projector is an Optoma HD73 or HD72.

  1. Hello!

That is what I want to do eventually when I have more room in a new home someday!  But what I would do is try and get Boze speakers because of the excellent quality. Now they are axpensive(around $1000) I am not to sure about the wireless part however?

  2. With rca cables

  3. A sony surround sound system with 2 free extra speakers ^^

  4. You have to remember that there is no hookup for sound from your pj.  Assuming you have a 5:1 receiver the sound would go from your source (Sat/Cable box, DVD player, gaming system, etc) directly into your receiver.   It never touches, nor does it need to, your projector
