What is the best way to immigrate to Australia ?

Hi Friends,

I am an IT professional from India with around 9 years of experience. Now I am thinking of moving to australia. I would like to know the following

1) Shall I first look for a job and then have the employer apply my VISA ? I came to know from someone that australian employers do not entertain any profile if he/she does not have an australian VISA. But I am not sure on this. Please suggest.

2) Shall I first apply for the permanent resident VISA and once I get the VISA, I start looking for a job ?

3) Since I am in India, what is the best possible way to look for a job in australia and the best possible way to apply for VISA ?

visas are getting harder to come by because of al-qaida sneaking people into Austrailia.  You should establish a good job first and then try to get recruited by an Austrailian company.

Yes, I agree. Get some experience then try to find a job through Australian Recruitment companies. You'll find that you need to be really experienced, skillful and must be able to do things the Austrlians can't - if they can find someone, they wouldn't recruit from overseas. Australians protect their own people very well.

There is one thing I suggest you to consider before taking action:

If you want a simply life - (a stable job, a house, a family, friends, lots of leisure time), go to Australia.

If you are very intelligent, telanted, embitious, want to succeed and fly-high, to to USA.
