  1. Focus on the good qualities about you. Every morning tell yourself you are a delightful person that people would love to know. You got a whole of good to offer the world. Learn to brush your setbacks and keep moving.

I think that the best way to start is to know that you are fine just the way you are.  Improvements in thoughts that you have every day, or actions that you take towards others can help reinforce the understanding that you are just fine!  A very good book, called "One Day my Soul Just Opened Up", by Ilyana Vazant, is a very good one to start with.  Very deep and introspective.  Good luck!!!

  3. To believe in yourself...not with arrogance, but through the objective awareness of your capabilities, assessment of who you are, independence from what others may try to take from you to make you feel lesser.

    But as well, remain aware that maintaining a healthy self esteem is alike walking continuously on a tight rope.

    You are tempted so often to think more of yourself if feeling insecure.

    And as well, you may think less of yourself if harassed by opposing opinion as to who you are.

    Therefore walk the tight rope of self appraisal as if it were a razor's edge. And keep your focus on that.

    The result is t you'll be graced with your TRUE self!
