What is the best way to incorporate a Green Corporate Mission in tribute of this Earth's Day?

"Going Green" need not mean "Going out of business" . How can you balance your green concerns with what your organization is doing for making money . Interesting, I've been greening everything in ,corp. environmental technology for years... The answer is actually very simple. No matter what your company does, its first mission should be the lower its own non-green practices and product(s) to be as efficient as possible. Then set the standard for others to follow as a part of your own corporate public relations.

To overcome resistance toward any green initiatives when you first start trying to implement such things in your company, you need to identify things that will improve the company's profitability by increased efficiency and/or reduction in costs.  

Getting rid of incadescent lights and putting in more energy efficient lighting is one example - it will reduce the company's electric bills and over time the cost of replacing the lighting will be more than recaptured.  

I replaced every incadescent light bulb in my house with those cork-s***w looking flourescent bulbs and in just a few months I was money ahead.  The savings realized in a commercial building would be even more remarkable.
