What is the best way to install a new granite backsplash in between the countertop and the mirror?

Background of project: I am updating my vanity countertop and have measured everything several times and believe my measurements are correct. The vanity top is currently being fabricated. I believe I will be able to install it no problem except for one thing. How should I install the new backsplash in between the countertop and the mirror since it will be a tight fit? The mirror currently is right on the old backsplash with a holder. The countertop and backsplash will be granted so I want to make sure I do it correctly. Any advice on the best way to install it without scratching or breaking anything? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. i would remove the mirror and reinstall it after the back splash is in. you could put a peice of cardboard on top of the backsplash to keep it from getting scraped or chipping the mirror. if the fit is that thigh that that this will not work order a smaller mirror.i have been on to many jobs where the home owner wants a mirror from the back splash to the ceiling and we always order the mirror last after the install of the counter top.good luck
