What is the best way to keep a garage door (16 ft) open, but keep my toddlers in at the same time?

I work in my garage alot, and I would like to keep the airflow going. I dont think using baby fences would work, due to the 16ft opening. Has anyone used something else? Thanks

  1. They sell 16 garage door screens. Shop around a little. Call some garage door companies.

  2. You can use sheets of plywood leaned against sawhorses to barricade the opening.  use caution if it's windy out though.  Don't want the sheet to fall over on the kids.  Hope this helps.

  3. Shock Collars?

  4. heres what i did....go and buy some of the construction fencing, mos the time its orange, and buy 2 sided S hooks, and clip it to the door tacks....it has 2 or 3 inch holes in it to allow air...but keep and i on those kids and dont let them get tangled in it..

    lic. gen. contractor

  5. They have screens you put over the garage door. When the garage door is open you pull down the screen. One of those will keep the children in the garage and still give you plenty of air.

You can install it yourself and it takes no time at all. :-)

I'd call around to places that build garages or sell garage doors and ask them how much a screen costs.
