What is the best way to keep bees away from you?

I've heard dryer sheets help... is this true? Does anybody have any other suggestions?

I have found that if you take Vitamin B 12 500 mg, bee's don't like it, of course once in a while you might taste the garlic in it, but believe me the bee's don't like it either. Trust me, I am allergic to bee's stingers, and I can't have them get to me, so that Is what I take during bee season. Good luck

Stay away from their nests and hives.  They have a built-in retaliatory response to defend the nesting queen and food supply (honey).  If you need their space, you can request 'Animal Control' or local bee keepers to move the hive.  Otherwise, eradication is the undesirable option.

Most of the time bees wont bother you.  I have a garden, and I spend all day long outside sometime, and I have bees and hornets hanging around me all day long.

Most of the time, they are business oriented, just buzzing from plant to plant, and from flower to flower, and they dont bother me.  

The only time you really get stung is if you bother their hive.

that is especially true for wasps and hornets.  You get anywhere near their hives, and your a gonner.

the trick is to ignore them and not freak out and make a bunch of fast motions, when i'm in the garden, they dont bother me.

They are pretty slow, you can easily squish and kill a bee.

Wasps are a little faster, but you can also outrun them usually.
