What is the best way to keep my stainless steel appliances clean and shiny?

I have stainless steel in my new house and I get little water drip marks and such on my appliances. When I scrub to clean them off, the steel looks dull afterwards. Is there a special cleaning solution or somthing I should use? I'd like to keep them looking new.

Thanks for any tips!

  1. Stainless steel cleaners are expensive. Try Windex with lemon extract. Or just a drop of lemon juice on a cloth then dry with another cloth. I learned this from my grandmother. It really works.

  2. All you have to do is take a wet and soapy cloth. Wipe the spot, but if that doesnt work, try an antibacterial spray or even Windex.

  3. try "WOW! Stainless steel cleaner". Works really well on my fridge.

theres a whole bunch of sizes, check out amazon:

  4. you can buy expensive cleaner, but the best thing I've found is plain household ammonia.  Just put it in a spray bottle, and wipe down your appliances.  It leaves them super shiny!

  5. Yes, stainless steel cleaner is available.

I've also heard of vinegar as a mild cleaner/polish.

  6. try a small amout of toothpaste on a dry cloth whipe it all over the thing then turn the cloth around and buff it out

  7. Well when I clean my stainless steel I use a all purpose spray that is a disenfectant or disenfecting bathroom cleaner for stainless steel in the bathroom.

I spray the stainless steel with that, take an old toothbrush scrub down the stainless steel

Then I spray again and wipe with a paper towel

Next, I take a stainless steel cleaner or windex spray it, then wipe with a paper towel
