What is the best way to kill out a century plant or commonly called yuca plant?

It is not an indoor plant in Florida and I would love to murder mine.  They are nasty invasive plants and spread by their roots.  I thought they were so beautiful and tropical. Don't do it!  The next time my husband is away, I will pull mine out with his truck.  I do have a hybrid, that flowers in about three years - a big improvement!

Most of these are outdoor plants, not indoor plants and the best way I've found so far is to kill it with a chainsaw or pull it out with a truck. But you have to be very careful to keep from being impaled by the leaves!!
