What is the best way to know if you have ovulated?

I am currently on Clomid (100mg) to help me ovulate but my question is how do you know that you have actually ovualted. Are OPK's or BBT's the best way? I have tried charting before but it can get kind of confusing so I decided to try OPK's and this month I got a very definet positive on Friday but not on Saturday and Sunday. So besides those two methods how can I really know? Is going back to the Doctor to find out the only accurate way? Thank you for any insight into this.

  1. Mel,

I too have tried Clomid and it did not work for me. Currently, I'm using the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor and peak ovulation was detected on 8/5/08. The monitor is very helpful in identifying your best days for conception. It can be pricey to buy the monitor but I got mine (new, of course) on eBay along with 2 boxes of 30 test sticks for $135. Also, A website I HIGHLY recommend is www.fertilityfriend.com. The basic membership is free and it stores your information, alerting you on potentially fertile days. It also gives you charts, graphs and much more. I've been using it for about 6 months now and it's a nice tool to have.

    Good luck!

  2. when you get pregnant lol

just kidding. there's no way to know unless you do the strips or bbt.do the strips they work!  opks are the best way they really really are. charting is too much strips tell you when to start!

  3. Best way is to use OPK's! Good luck! Baby dust to you!
