  1. Date an Italian boy ,possibly not too fluent in English, otherwise to please you he will speak with you just in English and then it would be for you useless...!!! Jokes aside, after you've learnt a basic Italian, the best would be to post in a forum or even in the Yahoo's Italian section. I'm Italian and I've improved a lot my English by reading and answering questions in this section. For yr first starting you could use some of the many Internet links for beginners

    http://www.abruzzo2000.com/course/index....

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/italian/l...

    http://www.cyberitalian.com/html/less_1_...

Also try to watch Italian TV programms on the Sat and listem Italian songs. Speak as much as you can with Italians and try to enter into email correspondence with some Italian pen pal .

  2. study some grammar from book or class and find some italian(living in italy better) and write in italian and speak also(with messanger don't pay)

  3. ♦Make friends with Italians who speaks Italian language of course & ask her/ him to teach you some words & how to construct an Italian words into a sentence. (Through the internet).

♦Buy an English-Italian Dictionary & some of Italian books.

♦Try to watch Italian movies or videos (Not translated to other language yet) like youtube.

    Good luck! (--,)

  4. is a bit difficolt but at least italian language is very melodic and not very hard to learn as is very logical and not a riddle one, as well with clear rules...so i advise you to listen some music or maybe if you can see some italian tv....but i still think you should go in Italy and stay for a while if you want learn it properly...dont worry is very easy to pick up! buona fortuna

  5. I learnt some English listening to rock songs and reading lyrics. I had translations done by Google translator and then I managed to write some sentences. Actually I don't speak so well, but it's easier for me to write in English and I can stand an online chat with my american and aussie friends.

So, you can try listening to italian songs.

  6. You have to speak the language in order to learn the language, so by whatever means allows you to do that. Take a class, join a club, buy some cd's and books. It is most important to speak though.

  7. i speak spanish from argentina which helped me alot to learn.

but four major things that helped me were:

    1. i took classes at a school that only had Italian teachers.

2 I found a chat room with italians.

    3. I found me a cute italian guy that lived in germany but was italian and called him everyday and spoke to him on the phone.

    4. I go to italy often

  8. Write the Italian word for everything in your house and stick it on the item so you see it all the time. When you read a newspaper pick ten common words and replace them with the italian. Every day read the paper inserting those words with your mind  till you know them all, then pick another ten.

  9. dont learn it

learn a beatiful lanuguage like french!

  10. See if your local Community College offers Italian lessons, if not, you can rent 'Learn Italian" DVD ....netflix.com offers some DVDs available to rent. You can also try purchasing at your local bookstore.

    Best of luck to you.

  11. Pimpsler's tapes/CD's are great... you can use them while driving or put them into an ipod and keep on listening them again and again...

    They really help a lot

  12. I would highly reccomend Pimsleur CD's. I spent a month in Italy last summer in an Italian Language school and learned more with my Pimsleur CD's then I did at the school in Italy. I think the big difference it I remember everything I learned on the CD's but not much I learned while going to school.

  13. Take a class and/or find people who speak Italian. I've also found that finding chat buddies (e.g. someone who speaks Italian and is trying to learn English) helps a lot.
