  1. Hi Alex

Their is no special way. What you need is motivation and knowing what to practice. Many students practice for hours on end and actually, doing nothing.

Always practice what you have a hard time with , not practice what you already know. That is why we practice in the first place. It';s to learn what we have problems with.

Do you know your scales, your chords ?

Here is a link to learn your scales. This will give you an idea and open up your mind to being creative. When you practice, always alternate pick every note. Just that alone is a challenge for some.

  2. DOnt get so frustrated. your not going to learn really anything for a while. ive been playing for like 11 years now and im not perfect. just have fun with it nad it will come to you

  3. Lessons. Go to your local music store and ask if they offer private one-on-one guitar lessons (majority do). You'll learn a LOT more and progress a LOT faster than if you were to teach yourself, guaranteed.

I take guitar lessons and they're the best thing that I've done for myself in learning and getting to where I want to be musically.

  4. Find your favorite acoustic song and set it as your goal. If that songs too hard then find a song that uses the same style, ie strumming, finger picking and gradually work your way up

Another good piece of advise is to commit a part of a song to memory so that you don't need the sheet music/tab and just do something like sit at the T.V playing it over and over until it becomes second nature, this works really well for plucking patterns, and not to mention it works really quickly.

The trouble with beginning guitar is that the first few weeks can be so unrewarding and your growth won't be always be consistent but stick with it, you can really improve quickly with practice.

    Hope it helps!
