I took a guitar class for a couple semesters in high school. I don't recommend it. Too many students and only one teacher. Not enough one-on-one action. Wish I had lessons...

If you learn off tabs on the internet, play stuff you like to listen to, it'll be easy for you to learn.

I recommend playing with others (i.e. friends). They'll show you what they know, and it'll improve your "staying on beat" skill.  :)

if your really dedicated to learning, buy one and a book and just start learning chords and get tabs off the internet

or get a teacher or a friend to help you out
