  1. Hi.  You may try looking for the word "Kirche" - pronounced kearhe, like "ke" from "key" and "hu" from "hurt".  You can always ask for a Catholic (Katholische) church or Protestant Church (Evangelische).  Hope this helps.

  2. probably very conservative

  3. your german???? maybe you could google the name of the church and find the info you need

  4. If you'Re in Germany keep your eyes open while driving into a town normally ther is a yellow sign with the name of the town and after that sign there is somewhere another sign with a yellow or purple church on it, it shows you the name of the church and at which times the service starts..otherwise just keep looking into the sky and follow the bog chuch towers ;)

  5. The daily newspapers often have listings of the churches and times of service. Also, if you look in the tourist information office, medium - large cities have brochures showing the churches and times, and smaller cities often list churches and times in their general city brochure.

If you are Catholic - look for "Katholische Kirche" - if you are Protestant - look for "Evangelische Kirche". If you are looking for something more specific in the Protestant Church, like Baptist, Methodist, etc... know that they are few and far between - you'll have to ask somewhere official (like the tourist office or city call) to find them. Many small cities won't have anything other than Katholisch or Evangelisch.
