I'm 5'1 and I weigh 220lbs, I have tried every diet pill there is and nothing seems to help. I work out sometimes but I have no motivation to remember to do it everyday. i'm over weigh so going to a gym is not an option. I do Tae-Bo at home. What is the best way for me to tone up and lose a lot of fat?

  1. change your lifestyle for good by eating 5 or 6 small healthy meals a day and doing cardio & toning exercises in moderation 5 or 6 days weekly...its easy to lose weight, but avoiding weight gain after reaching a lower healthy body weight isnt simple!so be prepared from the very beginning itself...dont lose more than 3 lbs a week...you have to push yourself,no choice!diet pills are a waste of cash!why are you afraid of the gym?

  2. Diet pills are snake oil. Dont use them

Just 'cause youre overweight doesn't mean you cant go to the gym. In fact, it's the best reason to. Start.

eat healthry, no junk. Dont skip meals. & exercise.

& to stay motivated - tack a picture of yourself in a bikini on the fridge.

  3. When  losing  weight,  you should follow the dual course: exercise and

diet  together.  If  you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger

appetite,  which  will  lead  to  increase  of  weight, or muscle grow

underneath  the  fat  layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without

exercising,  you  will  become  flabby  and will have excess skin. For

diet,  go  wheat  free.  No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food

after  7  p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on

your  initial  weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If

you  don't  eat  wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey

cakes,  you  don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your

diet  is  still  balanced.  It  costs  nothing, and you do not have to

calculate  points  or  to  buy special meals or plans. For exercising,

start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the

most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a

lot,  walk  first  or you may have health complications (heart attack,

disjointed  bones and so on) For targeting your problem areas, check up

these  Workout  Exercises  :  Weight Training, Plyometrics , Stretches

(Flexibility),  Pilates,  Ball, Cardio Dumbbells, Cables etc. 100's Of

Exercises.  They  have animated photos, so it's easy to understand how

    to do them. http://www.myfit.ca/exercisedatabase/exe...

  4. You have to stop looking for a quick solution. It took you your whole life to get to 220 lbs. You aren't going to lose it overnight. Want motivation? You are going to die young. You are going to be ostracized from society for the rest of your life. You are going to have to take medications for cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, and probably depression. Your going to lose job opportunities, have a hard time dating, and eventually feel like you canot go out in public. I am sorry to take this harsh reality check with you but you sound like you are not willing to do what it takes. You forget to workout? Do you remember to go to McDonald's? C'mon that is BS.

There are people that come into my gym that are 350 lbs. No one looks at them funny. in fact, they respect them for wanting to make a change. Where an obese person SHOULD be embarassed is at a fast food place. Start slow, make a commitment. Its day by day. Wake up and say "today i am going to the gym.. I may not go tommorrow but the most important thing I will do today is go". Soon you'll start stringing a bunch of those kinds of days together and people will ask you what diet you are on to cause so much weight loss.

I truly wish you the best. Sorry to be so blunt but you needed to hear it.

  5. My mom joined weight watchers and lost 50 lbs. She really enjoyed the support and suggestions at the meetings. It sounds like you also need that support from women who have been and are in your shoes.

  6. Hi, you need to burn more calories than you take in. I know, it sounds easier than it is to do. Many people found success with the Flat Belly Diet on www.prevention.com.

    Good luck.
