  1. Well, first you want to start off with how you are physically right now. If you can easily job for a long period of time. Start there. If you cannot here is where you start.

First, yo uare going to want to start jogging at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes per day. For about 3 days. then on the fourth day you are going to want to increase that to running/jogging (brisker of a pace) for 30 minutes for another 3 days. Then you will want to kick it up to jogging/brisk pace for an hour per day. Make sure you break a sweat or else it will be useless!

    Good luck!

  2. I'm not sure of the best way to get used to running a horse, but for weight loss try Weight Watchers.  They have an online version so you don't have to go to meetings.  I lost 26 pounds with them in six weeks.  They use a graduated "points" system that you won't feel deprived or starved.  Couple Weight Watchers with any exercise program you like and you should lose fast.

  3. if you want to be a jockey, steve cauthen has a jockey school at keeneland race track.  he will show you everything you need to know to become a jockey.  otherwise if you are wanting to ride horses and be an exercise rider you can go to a race track and start working in a barn on the backside, you will lose weight also.  you can call keeneland in lexington, ky and ask them about the jockey school and they will connect you to the people you need to talk to.  good luck.
